7th Sunday after Pentecost Luke 10:25

The story of the Good Samaritan is more than about doing good for someone. It goes beyond ourselves and our culture. We like the person on the side of the road are wounded and dying and it is Jesus who comes along and risked everything to save us. We who are called to be in His imagine can like Jesus can reach out to those who are lost and dying. We too can share God's love, grace, and mercy through His Son Jesus with a lost and dying world. Thus the question becomes more than "Who is my neighbor" it is "To whom can I be a neighbor."
