Fr. David G. Newhart - Rector

Fr. Dave was born in Scranton, PA. Growing up in a military family he moved frequently living in TX, CA, PA, FL, and NM. After graduating high school and one year at the University of New Mexico he spent 4.5 years in the Air Force serving in FL, Germany, and AZ. Following his time in the military he attended Arizona State University and received a BS in Ag-Industry with a emphasis in Food Science. Upon graduation and two years of post-graduate studies he worked for 18 years in the food industry for Quaker Oats, FMC, and a National Food Distribution company. In 2002 he began seminary at Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA, and was awarded a Masters of Divinity in 2005. Fr. Dave served two years as the assistant rector at St. Helena's in Boerne, TX. In July 2007 he became the rector at St. Elizabeth's. He and his wife Tillie currently live in Sebastian and have a blended family of seven children however none are currently living at home.
